Tips to have healthy Eyes
You might spend time at the gym to keep your body fit and you might eat better so your body is healthy but what about your eyes? Did you know there are things you can do to improve the health of your eyes? For most people, only when a eye problem comes up do they remember that eyes must be supported too.
Eating leafy greens such a spinach, kale and collard greens, all help avoid macular degeneration. Vitamins such as A, C, E and B2 are also a good choice and don’t forget selenium and zinc too. Keeping your eyes hydrated can be done with a simple saline solution and eating blueberries is associated with lowering eye fatigue. Apricots are rich in lycopene and beta carotene, both promote good vision.
Someone who is trained in diagnosing and treating eye disorders is called an optometrist. Optometry jobs are listed under health science services jobs and can be found online if you are seeking a new job. Having your eyes tested by an optometrist can let you know if myopia, hyperopia or other refractive problems are showing up during your examination. They are your eyes and it is up to you to care for them so they serve you for many years.
